In 2019, she published Awakening to Wildfire: Stories of the Mendocino Lake Complex Fire, an anthology of stories about a 2017 fire that ripped through Mendocino County, CA where she worked as a children's librarian. She loves serving rural communities, especially when she gets to draw on windows and be generally creative at work. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Public Library Division of WLA.
